Sandy’s Profile
I developed a strong interest and foundation in human anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques when I studied in my physiotherapy degree in HKPU. My clinical training included diverse rotations in outpatient clinics and hospital, allowing me to work with patients across various age groups and conditions. Later, I also earned the certificate of orthopedic manual therapy in Australia and my master degree specializing in manipulative therapy where I found very useful in treating cases with chronic pain.
Throughout my career, I have focused on rehabilitation where I gained experience working in orthopedic doctors institutes and rehabilitation hospital. I am passionate about creating personalized treatment plans that empower clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
I am also committed to continuous education and have completed additional certifications in manual therapy, acupuncture and clinical pilates. This ongoing learning allows me to stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and innovative techniques in the field including the upcoming ultrasound scanning course.
In my practice, I emphasize the importance of patient education and active participation in the rehabilitation process. I believe that fostering a collaborative environment leads to better outcomes and helps clients regain their independence.
The most rewarding aspect is to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by helping them recover from injuries or manage chronic conditions, significantly enhancing their quality of life. Building strong, trusting relationships with clients fosters a supportive environment that motivates healing and progress. Witnessing clients achieve their goals—such as regaining mobility, reducing pain, or returning to sports—adds to the sense of accomplishment at my work. The diverse challenges presented by each unique case keep the work engaging, while educating about injury prevention and healthy living promotes their overall well-being.
