Dario’s Profile
I completed my Physiotherapy degree at the University of Leicester in the UK and have since gained extensive experience in the NHS, private clinics across the UK and Hong Kong. Right after that I went on to complete a Diploma in Modern Acupuncture. My person interest lies in musculoskeletal pain and sports rehabilitation – whether you’re dealing with back pain, sport-related injuries, work-related overuse conditions, I’m here to guide you back to full function.
My treatment approach is usually guided through my own clinical reasoning and hands on manual therapy. I use hands-on techniques like joint mobilisations, soft-tissue work, acupuncture when it’s appropriate. Above all, I believe the foundation of recovery is staying active and building resilience, so every patient receives a personalised, progressive exercise programme designed specifically for their goals and lifestyle to get strong, lasting results.
As a former athlete myself, I’ve played a wide variety of sports including football, swimming, and ice hockey. I had the honour of representing Hong Kong with the U18 ice hockey team, competing in the 2nd National Youth Games and being selected for the IIHF U18 World Championship in New Zealand. Tragically, a severe ankle injury just before my trip to New Zealand forced me onto the sidelines. That period of intensive rehabilitation opened my eyes to the true value of physiotherapy; it not only returned me to the ice within months, but gave me first-hand insight into the physical and emotional challenges athletes face when injured. Having experienced multiple injuries from sports, I deeply understand my patients’ perspectives, their frustrations, and exactly what they need to feel supported throughout their recovery journey.
The most fulfilling part of this job is that I am able to share the same experiences and perspective with my patients. Whether you’re a professional or recreational athlete, I’m here to guide you back stronger, using evidence-based, individualised programmes that keep you active, resilient, and ready to return to the sport you love.
Football is my passion on and off the pitch and I’m currently playing in a local league every Sunday. Love talking tactics, weekend results, or just sharing the excitement— you’re more than welcome to bring it up anytime!
